He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Obeline" and Mary Dorothy Sampson (Forgeron); his sister Shirley Hillier (Arthur); and his brother-in-law Ronnie Whyte. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sampson (McNamara); his children, Krystal Burns (Terry), Cindy-Lee Jean (Mark) and Jarrett Sampson (Claire Michalewicz); his grandchildren, Olivia, Owen, Kylie Burns, Alexander and Elise Jean; and his siblings, Etta Whyte, Donna Short (Sidney) and Wayne Sampson (Claudine).
Donations in Edward's memory can be made to St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, Whiteside or Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
