He was predeceased by: his parents, Laughlin Cotie and Patricia Cotie (Hall); and his brother Ernie Cotie. He is survived by: his children, Jason James Cotie of St. Peter's and Jennifer Lynn Cotie of Parrsboro; his brother Charlie Cotie of St. Peter's; and his nieces, Grace and Mary.
