He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Cleland Davis and David Mackenzie; and his brother David Alexander Mackenzie. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Mackenzie; his wife Anita Mackenzie; his children, Leigh Mackenzie (Max Thompson) and David Mackenzie (Leanne Mackenzie); and his grandchildren, Kyle (David), Drew (Leigh), Halle (Leigh) and Walker (Leigh).
There are no immediate services planned due to COVID restrictions.
The family would like to direct any donations in Ian's name to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
