He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh John and Stella Mary Dorton (MacRae); his grandparents, Edward, Margaret E. Dorton, Dan and Christine MacRae (Burns); and his siblings, Dan R., William, Walter, Margaret 'Peggy Smith and Martha MacDougall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
