He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cogswell and Sarah "Sadie" Cogswell (McNamara); and his siblings, Jim, Eddie, Francis and Mary Howlett.
He is survived by: his wife Anita (McNamara); his children, Debbie, Brenda, Cynthia (Joe), Norma and Barry (Shirley); his grandchildren, Michelle, Erin, Lesley, Ashley, Dana, Alyssa, Lacey, Evan, Shaun, Jonathan and Kyle; his great grandchildren, Riley, Ava, Nora, Joey, Maggie, Charlotte and Jack; his brother Cecil (Diane); and his sisters-in-law, Edna Cogswell and Margaret McNamara. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
