With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Irvin MacKinnon of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 20, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabell MacKinnon (MacLean) and Stanley MacKinnon; his parents-in-law, Gertie (Cochrane) and Leo Forrestall; and his sisters, Ann (late Bob Downard) and June MacKinnon.
He is survived by: his significant other Marie (Forrestall); his children, Howard (Charlene), Shelley (Jason), Nancy (Roy) and Trudy; his grandchildren, Kalena, Neil, Leo, Myra, Avery and Jenae; his siblings, Allan, Sharon (David Pringle), Newtown, Heather (late Regeant Deschenes), Pleasant Hill, Hazel (Gordon MacLean), Macdale and Anna Port Hastings; and his sisters-in-law, Betty (Eugene MacNeil), Sandra Murray and Jane Murray.
Face masks will be required while attending the visitation and funeral service. Social distancing measures will also be in place.
