It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hiram Wilfred Thompson of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, born in Westville, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Beverly Campbell and Hazel Thompson (Morrison); and his siblings, Kelvin, Warren, John, Gordon and Helen.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn (Pittman); his children, Sharon MacCuspic (Donald) of Craigmore, NS, David (Terri Thompson) of Lake Fletcher, NS and Shawn (Rosina Thompson) of Oakville, ON; his grandchildren, Carly MacCuspic of New Glasgow, NS, Mitchell MacCuspic of Halifax, NS, Michael Thompson (Sarah), Larbert, Scotland, Megan Thompson (Felix Hoppe) of Halifax, NS, Connor and Kaitlyn Thompson of Oakville; his sisters, Jean Ross and Dr. Shirley Thompson; and also, Gerald Thompson, Margaret MacLean and Maureen Thompson.
If desired, a memorial donation may be considered for the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society in recognition of the exceptional care and compassion provided to Wilfred and his family over the past weeks.
