As we bid Helen Higgins farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Helen Higgins is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Murphy and Mary Murphy (Henderson); and her brother Robert Murphy of Scotland. She is survived by: her husband Tom (Greenock); her daughters, Helen, Prentice-McIntyre (Scott) of Sydney and Irene Prentice; her grandchildren, Kaylee, Tommy, Ben and Hannah; and her sister Margaret Kerrigan (Roy) of Scotland. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bras D'Or Yacht Club (1 Jones St, Baddeck, NS B0E1B0).
