He was predeceased by: his parents, John MacRae and Lillian MacRae; his daughter Kerri; and his siblings, Jack, Stewart, Duncan, Widden "Winnie", Gordon, Roy, Hilda, Leona, Lena, Mildred and Violet.

He is survived by: his son Kevin; and his sister Mary MacDonald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
