She was predeceased by: her foster mother Marcella Gillis; and her brothers, A. J., John Joseph and Donald Angus Gillis. She is survived by: her sister Alexina Cameron (Wilson); her half-siblings, Brian MacDonald, Ronnie MacDonald and Cheryl MacDonald; and her uncle John Alec MacDonald. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
