It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Emma Hines (Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 22, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Samson and Edna Maclean; her husband Billy; and her brothers, Peter, Gerald and Jimmy.
She is survived by: her stepmother Laura; her children, Billy Joe (Juanita), Johnny, Laurie Marchand (Phil), Tommy (Jill) and Jason (Jenell); her grandchildren, Emma, Kobe, Sam, Corey, Colton, Connor, Breanne, Morgan, Hannah, Rowan, Faith and Bryson; her sister Pauline Matthews; her sisters-in-law, Caroline Maclean (Clem MacDonald) and Edna Kline; and her sisters, Alice and Marge (George).
Visitation and funeral attendees must be vaccinated, wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Donations in her memory can be made to Antigonish Town and County Palliative Care Society.
