He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Theresa, Albany Boudreau, Stanley and Idella Samson; and his siblings, Ronald and Geraldine.

He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Ronald and Rose Marie Samson (Boudreau); his fiancée Karen MacIntyre; his son Gavin MacIntyre; and his sister Amanda MacPherson (Vincent).
