He was predeceased by: his parents, William Daniel "Willie" and Jessie Christine MacKay (MacDonald); his siblings, Gary MacKay and Christine MacKillop; and his brother-in-law Ronald MacKillop.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne (LaFosse); his children, Jennie MacKay, Cindy MacKay and Robert (Pam); his grandchildren, River MacKay and Jennifer Law; his great grandchildren, Bryce and MacKenzie; and his sister Valerie George (Barry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Donnie to the MacKay Cemetery Fund, St. George's Channel or Black River United Church.
