He is survived by: his spouse Marilyn Jones (Ferguson); his children, Rebecca of New Glasgow and Jay of Vancouver; his siblings, George and Karen Byers of Great Village; his brother-in-law Brian Ferguson of Glace Bay; and also Baden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
