He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Briand (Mombourquette) and Herbert Briand; his brother-in-law Jeffrey Adamsson; and his nephew Nathan Thorpe. He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Thorpe (Ron), Marilyn Felix (Peter), Deborah Adamsson, Arlene Sampson (Lloyd) and Adrian Briand (Juanita); and his nieces and nephews, Amanda, Adam, Terralea, Cherise, Jeffrey, Marcus, Nolan, Makaela and Arissa.
