She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Alex and Sally Buchanan (Liddle); and her close friend John Abbott. She is survived by: her son David North Vancouver (Stephanie Fabbro); her grandchildren, Leah and Quinn; and her sisters, Dorothy (Joe March) and Joan (Mike MacEachern) of Westmount. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
