It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Lou Ryan of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edward and Minnie Timmons; her husband Thomas Ryan; her son John Joseph; her brother Harry; and her siblings-in-law, Anthony, Joe, Howard Ryan, Louise Smith, Janet Burton and Florence Timmons.
She is survived by: her brothers, Leo Timmons (Darlene) and Gordon Timmons (Beverly); her sisters-in-law, Anne Timmons, Frances Ryan, Verna Phillips and Margie MacNamara; her children, Connie Nicholson, Diana MacDougall (John), Wanda Burns (Allan), Beverly MacDougall (Edward) and Thomas Ryan; and her grandchildren, Matthew (Kelly), Joshua (Nicole), Jonathan (Kaitlyn), Bethany (Chester), Alicia, Bernie (Jillian), Daniel (Maranda), Felicia, Keisha and Ryan (Amanda). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
