We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Catherine MacKinnon of Port Hastings, Nova Scotia, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her child Perley; her parents, Sadie (Bobby King) and Bob MacRae (Rose); her sisters, Irene King and Faye; and her brothers-in-law, Murdo MacKinnon (Julia), Seward MacKinnon (Pauline), Walter MacKinnon and Eddie MacDonald (Mary Jess).
She is survived by: her husband Perley; her children, Bobby (Michelle Higgins), Walter (Teri), Wilena (Brian Wood), Aulds Cove and Traci (Dan MacIsaac); her grandchildren, Carter, Avery MacKinnon, Robert Sparks, Nicole Sparks, Chelsea Tobin, Troy Tobin, Kaitlyn MacKinnon, Jonathan Bonaparte (Brianne O'Neill), Cody Wood (Brenna), Colton Wood (Jade), Clint, Blake and Reice Snook; her siblings, Marlene MacDonald, Gloria Leblanc (Kenny), Billy MacRae (Betty), Gary MacRae (Joan), Francis King (Doris) and Basil King (Debbie); her siblings-in-law, Mary Jess MacDonald, Julia MacKinnon, Pauline MacKinnon, Sam Forgeron and William MacKinnon; and her great grandchildren, Tanner, Layton Wood, Paisley Wood, Aaliyah, Chloe, Cameron, Emmett and Rhyse Sparks. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be limited to family members due to COVID restrictions. Visitation and funeral attendees must be vaccinated, wear a mask and practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's memory to St. David's United Church, the Strait Richmond Healthcare Foundation, the St. Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
