He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Elliott and Mary Elliott; his father-in-law Bruce (Myrtle Wooldridge); his sister Ann MacLeod; and his brothers-in-law, Ward MacLeod, Harry MacKay and Alex Rankin.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Bruce, Brad, Blaine and Caralei; his grandchildren, Kaylynn, Kathryn, Brandon, Elijah, Mya, Spencer, Dylan, Cohen and Ryleigh; his siblings, Helen MacKay and Jim Elliott; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Rankin, Jessie Cheverie (Ron), Mary Wooldrdge-Elliott (Burns) and Steven Wooldridge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in his memory may be made to Parkinson Society Nova Scotia or Riverbank Cemetery.
