He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Heighton and Jane Heighton (Redpath); his wife Florence; and his siblings, Almour, Robert, Vernon, Lloyd, Gerald, Anderson, Bruce, Gordon, Irene, Nita, Hazel, Joyce and Janet.
He is survived by: his children, Paul (Mary Anne), Brian and Jennifer (Chris Scott); and his sisters-in-law, Grace (Anderson), Mary (Gordon) and Eleanor (Bruce). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
