He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur MacDonald and Phyllis MacDonald (Gordon); and his sister Mary Christine Hathaway (Jack). He is survived by: his wife Jessie (MacLellan); his children, Karen and Scott (Sylvie); his grandchildren, Grace Gosselin (Grant), Lauren, Janelle and Thai; his brothers, Wilbur (Peggy), Green Hill, Cameron (Josephine), Middle River and David (Annette); and his mother-in-law Lena MacLellan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
If so desired, memorial donations in Sterling's name may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to the Pictou County VON - Continuing Care.
