She was predeceased by: her mother Sarah MacKay; and her siblings, Mable Langille, Jean Anderson and Raymond MacKay. She is survived by: her husband Fred Baines; her sons, Jason Mahaffey (Belinda) and Brud Mahaffey (Shannon); her stepchildren, Fred Baines, Charmaine Baines, Danica Baines (Rob) and Melissa Baines; her grandchildren, Christina Hubley (Gary) and Nick Mahaffey; her stepgrandchildren, Megan Baines and Robin Stewart; her brother-in-law Ray Baines (Franklyn); her stepgrandchildren, Vincenzo, Sara, Anthony Sotile, Genna and Tessa Bourchier; and her great grandchild Aurora Edie Joyce Hubley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow in appreciation for the many years of loving and tender care shown to Shirley.
