She was predeceased by: her parents, Lew Dort and Alice Dort; her husband Avard; and her siblings, Hazel Richards, Violet Bardell, Wilbur, Aubrey and Fred.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lois Lavender (Waterside), Shirley Yerxa (Eden Lake), Brenda Murray (Kings Head), Ruth Trefry and Angela Luddington; and her sisters, Minnie Jamieson, Rita Maguire, Mabel Bond, Sylvia Jamieson and Peas Brook. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
