We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2024, Percy Weldon Hayne of Pictou, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hayne and Georgina Hayne (Holly); his wife Marguerite Hayne (MacDougall); his children, Colleen Mae Dowding and James Marshall; his granddaughter Katherine "Kit" Vance; his son-in-law John Vance; his siblings, Harold "Buddy", Willie, Mae MacDonald, Mabel Herring, Anna Irwin, Gladys Bingley, Georgina Bickers, Lovey Hayne and Ivella Hayne; and his siblings-in-law, Hannah Joyce, Alice MacDougall, Joan MacDougall, Florence Hesketh, Rita Love, Alister MacDougall, Joe MacDougall, Vernon Love, Ernie Hesketh, Edgar Joyce and Rupert Moores.
He is survived by: his children, Anne Louise Hayne-Vance and Percy John Hayne (Mary Gorman); his sister-in-law Marie Moores; his children-in-law, Maurice Anderson (Pictou Landing) and Clarita Marshall; his grandchildren, James Marshall (Mireille), Tammey Felderhof (James), Sonya Hayne (Calvin Stevens), John Hayne, Amy Hayne, Brian Hughes (Jennifer), Brett Anderson, Donnie Vance (Ali) and Connie Camus (Aurel); and his nephews, Wade Hayne of Vancouver, B. C. and Harold Hayne (Lynn). He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
Donations may be made in Percy's memory to the Christ the King Cemetery Fund.
