He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Dornadic (Rose) and Charles Dornadic; his brother Hal (Jennie); his father-in-law Sonny Baker (Lancie); and his brother-in-law Clay Baker.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Baker); his mother-in-law Gloria Baker; and his siblings, Charlotte (Ron), Chuck (Charlene) and Paul. He is also survived by nieces and great-nephews.

John's love of young people had him driving the school bus for CCRSB until Covid hit.
