It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Marguerite Hayne (Pictou, Nova Scotia), born in Trenton, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 18, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Alexander Francis; her daughter Colleen Mae Dowding; her granddaughter Katherine "Kit" Vance; her siblings, Hannah Joyce (Edgar), Alister (Joan) and Joe; and her brothers-in-law, Vernon Love and Ernie Hesketh.
She is survived by: her parent Margaret Mary MacDougall (Lawlor); her husband Percy Hayne Sr.; her children, Anne Louise Vance (John) of New Glasgow and Percy Jr. Hayne (Mary Gorman); her son-in-law Maurice Anderson; her grandchildren, Tammey Felderhof (James), Sonya Thomsen (Scott), John Hayne (Sheila), Amy Desjardins (Kevin), Brian Dowding, Brett Anderson (Cristal), Donnie Vance (Ali) and Connie Camus (Aurel); her sisters, Rita Love of Moncton, N. B., Florence Hesketh and Marie Moores (Rupert) of New Glasgow; her sister-in-law Alice MacDougall of Trenton; and also, Merigomish and Pictou Landing. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
