He was predeceased by: his parents, Alda MacKenzie (Seaman) and Thomas MacKenzie; and his brothers, Millard and Greg. He is survived by: his wife Gayle (Ross); his children, Sheri (James), Dawn and Ross (Johnna); his close friend Alan Macdonald; and his grandchildren, Mackenzie (Dylan), Samuel, Isabelle, Abigail, Luca, Dominic and Nicholas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pictou United Church (47 James St, Pictou, NS B0K1H0).
