She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford MacLellan and Olive MacLellan (Sutherland); her brothers, John and Lloyd MacLellan (Genevieve); and her brothers-in-law, Bruce Heighton and Bill Murray (Margaret).

She is survived by: her husband Don Murray; her children, Jan MacKinnon (Greg) of Shad Bay, Gregg Murray (Linda) of Pictou, Joan Gouthro (Tom) of Halifax and Sharon Murray of Scotsburn; her sisters, Betty MacLellan and Eleanor Heighton; and her great grandchild Hazel. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
