He was predeceased by: his parents, Kipling MacKenzie and Mary MacKenzie (Foley); his children, Heather and Barry; his children-in-law, Aggie and Wayne; his siblings, Lonnie, Anne, Catherine and Pearl; his stepsiblings, John and Agnes; and his brothers-in-law, Dave MacKay, Hughie Turple, Joe Brown and George Fraser.
He is survived by: his children, Gary, Michael (Gail), Donna, Rick (Helen), Mary Ann (Wayne) and Scott (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Shelley, Crystal, Barbi, Veronica, Lisa, Jason, Tara, Frederick, Anthony, Gavin, Erica and Sami; his sisters, Florence Blair (Arnie) and Muriel Turple; and his siblings-in-law, Angus 'Sonny' MacIsaac and June MacKenzie-Brown. He is also survived by his many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
