He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kathleen Langille and George Kipling MacKenzie; his wife Agnes "Aggie" Isabel Hooper; his daughters, Shelley MacKenzie, Cowichan Bay and Crystal Leduc (Chris); his grandsons, Justin and Matthew Leduc; his siblings, Michael (Gail), Donna, Ricky (Helen), Mary Anne (Wayne) and Scott (Suzanne); his sisters-in-law, Cindy Hooper (Gary) and Jennie Stevenson; his siblings, Barry and Heather; his parents-in-law, Teddy Hooper and Margaret Hooper; and his brothers-in-law, Eric Stevenson and Wayne Langille. He was also cherished by his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
