She was predeceased by: her parent Alvin. She is survived by: her parent Geraldine; her husband Robert; her sons, Randy Byrne (Kate) and Ian Byrne; her siblings, Ruth MacConnell (Brian Paige) and Frankie Jackson (Patti Sampson); her sister-in-law Sally Adams; and her friend Northumberland Ferries. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews.

Donations in Esther's memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or the Caribou District Fire Department.
