He is survived by: his siblings, Twylla Fancy, Lynn DeVouge (John MacKay) and Harold Starratt; his nephew Stewart Simpson (Cathy); his nieces, Mary Morton (Steve), Donna (Perry) and Barbie (Peter); and his stepdaughter Wendy Huggins (Carl).

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the McLaren Funeral Home Chapel (246 Faulkland St, Pictou, NS B0K1H0).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Horizons Seniors Club or to the Odd Fellows Home.
