Doris Eleanor Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Eleanor Young (Pictou, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 2, 2019 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Vernon MacKay and Harriet "Hattie" MacKay; her children, Gordon Young (Carol) of Pictou and Joan Young-Maltby (Allan); her grandchildren, Luke (Michelle), Caroline, Mark (Shari), Jane, Peter (Kari), Robert (Janine), Sarah (Matt), Rebekah, Matthew (Sarah Jane) and Jacob (Lauren); her nephew David Young (Ruby); her husband Clarence; her son Robert; her brothers, Harold and Thomas; her cousin George Bedford (Shirley); her grandmother Doris; and her great-grandparent Doris. She was also cherished by many great-grandchildren.
Donations in her memory may be made to the deCoste Performing Arts Centre or to the Pictou United Church.
