He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell and Elspeth; his sister Mary; his former wife Lorena (MacIntosh); and also Janice.
He is survived by: his wife Bonita; his daughters, Donna Gallant (Gordon) and Heather MacKenzie-Carey (Rick); and his stepchildren, Cathe Demetre, Stephen Demetre (Anna), Paul Demetre (Lisa) and David Demetre (Sara). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He and his father together built a house for his own family and he recently sharpened those very tools as a COVID-19 isolation activity having watched a YouTube video.
