He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene MacDonald Sobey and Frank Hoyse Sobey; and his brothers, William M. Sobey and Donald R. Sobey. He is survived by: his wife Faye Naugle; his children, Janis Sobey-Hames (Christopher) and Paul D. Sobey (Marsha); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Joanne, Lisa, Sarah, Jonathan, David and Candace; his stepgrandchildren, Olivia, Emma and Ian; his great grandchildren, Marcus, Milo, Jackson, Lilly, Charlotte, Peyton, Evelyn, Leah, Rockwell, Ella, Oliver, Annabelle, Vivian, Eden, James, Ada, Jordan and Wilder; and his sister Dianne Sobey.
