He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wright Carruthers and Katherine Mae Ferguson; and his brother Jack. He is survived by: his children, Cyndi Carruthers and Mike Carruthers; his grandchildren, Josie Carruthers (Chris Ross) and Jack Watson; his sister-in-law Vera Carruthers; his nieces and nephews, Kirby, Donnie, Todd (Crystal), Cathy Dalziel (John) and Terry Higgins (Steve); his brother Ross; and his niece Wendy Carruthers.
