He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Richard and Jessie Richard (Melanson); his brothers, Edmund Jr. and Johnny; his nephew Glen Clarkson; and his niece Gail Smullin.
He is survived by: his children, Deb, Rosthern, Sask, Joseph of North Bay, ON, Steve of Simcoe, ON, Susan Richard (Ken Burton), Linda Paterson (Bob) and Mike (Kathy Smith) of Bancroft, ON; his siblings, Marguerite Werry, Norma Joyce of Napanee, ON, Rita Smullin Richard, Lower St, Gary of St Paul, AB and Donna of Chester, NS; and his close friends, Terry Wood, Gloria Melanson, Claud Lamb and Marg White. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Doug's memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital or a charity of your choice.
