He was predeceased by: his parents, John James Cann and Violet Cann (Clarke); his siblings, Jimmy, Jean and Betty (Gouthro); his parents-in-law, Alfred and Doris Asaph; his sister-in-law Eileen (Kotlar); his nephew Jason Kotlar; and his siblings-in-law, Reginald Stubbert and Lois Carruthers Cann.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Asaph); his sons, William (Michelle), David (Laura) and Shawn (Robin); his siblings, Ross, Michael Cann (Christine) and Shirley Stubbert of Bowmanville, Ontario.; his brother-in-law Robert Gouthro; his friends, Jimmy Wallace (Cindy), Lawrence MacDougall (Audrey), Bill and T. L. Sullivan Junior High; and his grandchildren, Railyn, Grayson, Arden, Sofie and Bauer.
