It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen M. C. Degen (Oxford, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 14, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Degen and Helen "Mickey" Degen (Hall); his wife Cheryl (Webber); his grandson Evan Matthews; his sister Catherine Peck; his nephew Billy MacKenzie; and his niece Sandra Leblanc.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Degen (Shelly), Kimberley Matthews, Kimberly Corkery (Darryl) and Barry Brownell (Angela); his grandchildren, Kalei, Kennedy, Madison, Kayden, Will, Ryan, Tyler, Austin, Olivia and Ian; his great grandchildren, Jude, Lewis, Julia and Charlotte; and his siblings, Terry Degen (Carmel), Shaun Degen (Al Burnard), Ruth MacKenzie (Tom), Kelly Miller (Alan) and Maureen Krauch (Fritz). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
