It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Fitzsimmons of Oxford, Nova Scotia, born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 27, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fitzsimmons and Mary Fitzsimmons (Petipas); and his brother-in-law Roland Whitty. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Turpin Fitzsimmons; his daughter Megan Fitzsimmons; and his siblings, Bev Whitty, Sheila Gillis (Mike), Westmount and Jim Fitzsimmons (Sharon). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
