He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick "Ted" Carde and Adelaide Carde (Langille). He is survived by: his children, Debbie of Springhill, Joe (Trish) of Springhill, Mark (Sara) of Springhill and Richard of Truro; his grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Kayla, Emily, Luke, Everleigh and Athena; his great grandchild Benjamin; and his siblings, Fred, Doug (Vivian), Cathy Colwill, David and James (Donna). He is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
