She was predeceased by: her parents, Etta Reid (Joyce) and Lawson Gordon Reid; her stepfather Laurence Kennedy; and her siblings, Alta Langille, Phyllis Halverson, Kenneth, Benjamin and Gordon.
She is survived by: her husband Douglas Betts of Hilden, NS; her children, David Betts (Shirley Killam) of Ottawa, ON, Gilbert Betts (Doris Samson) of Brookfield, NS and Janice Betts; her grandson Stephen Betts (Rachel Barken); her great grandchildren, Francis and Claire; her grandson Peter Betts; and her siblings, Marion Beck (Clark) and Allison Reid (Pat). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, friends.
