It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl M. Porter Jr. (Oxford, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 10, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Porter and Rose Marie Porter Sr. (Chambers); and his son Thomas Carl. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Leah; his children, Jessica (Shawn), Kristie (Brody), Lucas (Mackenzie) and Alaina; his grandchildren, Keegan, Shayla, Leland, Tyson and Thomas-Jack; his children, Matt, Reilly, Kenzee, Brady, Lucy and Avery; his siblings, Thomas (Darlene) and Anna (Rick); his sister-in-law Terry (Shawn); his nephew Matthew (Elizabeth); his niece Grace; his parents-in-law, Larry and Lorna Hunter; and his friend Amy (Stewart).

Carl's wishes are that donations in his memory go to the Springhill Search and Rescue or Cumberland Palliative Care.
