Byron MacDonnell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Byron MacDonnell of Oxford, Nova Scotia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron MacDonnell and Muriel MacDonnell (Chambers); his wife Lucille Marie MacDonnell (Horne); and his niece Kirsten Hollis. He is survived by: his son Sean (Amanda); his grandson Sam of Colorado; his son Mark (Julie) of Leamington; his sister Margot Hollis (Randy) of Dartmouth; his nieces, Eryn McDonell (Scott) of Ottawa and Kathryn Hollis (Halifax); and his siblings-in-law, Catherine Baker (Halifax), Anne Marie Horne-Robinson (Toronto), Janet Cameron (Doug), Don Horne, Chester and Mike Horne. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Church (5192 Main St, Oxford, NS B0M1P0). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Leamington Cemetery (11383 NS-2, Springhill, NS B0M1X0).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Leamington Cemetery, the Oxford Community Centre or charity of choice.
