He was predeceased by: his parents, William Probert and Rachel Probert (MacQuarrie); his wife Thelma "Pat" Probert; his siblings, Alexander, Donald, Janet Probert and Laura Smith (Gordon); and his nephew Paul Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Probert of Calgary, Linda Scoville of Calgary and Cindy Rose (Gilbert); his nieces, Donna Kalyn, Pat Wild of Ontario, Louise Smith and Sydney Mines; and his nephew Brian Probert of Ontario. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and many grand nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton SPCA or a charity of choice.
