He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex MacLeod and Ethel MacLeod (MacKay); his sister Kathryn MacBurnie; his nephew Billie MacBurnie; and his brother Sandy.

He is survived by: his friend Russell Newman; his wife Mary (Davison); his daughter Joan Cote (Pierre); his grandchildren, Danielle (Daniel Planke), Matthieu and Jacqueline; his great grandchild Paityn; his sister Verna; and his nephew Gerald MacBurnie (Roberta). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mathew Wesley United Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
