He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth MacAskill and Jannie MacAskill (Butts); his siblings, Danny, Mary Ahle, Sylvia Edmunds and Wanda; his sisters-in-law, Dawn MacAskill and Margie MacAskill; his in-laws, Farrell and Mary Bonnar; and his siblings-in-law, Lorne Edmunds, Wayne, Johnny Bonnar, Linda and Donna.
He is survived by: his wife Debby (Bonnar); his siblings, Roddie, Murray (Jeanette), Paul (Jocelyn), Glenn, Terry (Corinna), Corrine Stubbert (Heckie), Melinda Mark (Jackie) and Carrie (Tom Bond); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Ahle and Bill Bonar (Florence Fraser). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
