He was predeceased by: his parents, Cpt. James Chaulk and Ethel Chaulk (King); his siblings, Jeanette and George; his parents-in-law, Helen, Joseph Mortensen, Kenneth Mortensen and Vonnie Jessome; his nephew Chrisopher; and his nieces, Vanessa Jessome and Karen Chaulk.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Laura (Michael), Leigh (Brian), Jeana (Neil), Stewart (Rachel) and Aaron; his grandchildren, Tris, Shirley, Austin, Jayden, Shailynn, Cole and Seth; his siblings, Jim (Sarah), Stan (Isabel), Kevin (Faye), Jane (Eric) and Colleen (Brian); his stepfather George "Bud" MacDonald; and his parents-in-law, Kathy Fleet (Cletus) and Michael Mortensen (Amy).
Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at W. J. Dooley Funeral Home at 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center.
