He was predeceased by: his wife Marian Slater; his close friend Angie Campbell; his daughter Yvonne Hare; his sister Shirley Foote; his parents, Stanley Theodore Hare and Helen Osmond; and his stepmother Patricia O'Neil.
He is survived by: his children, Stanley, Kenneth (Felicia), Leslie, Candace Hare (John) and Dawn Hare (Chris); and his siblings, John, Reggie (Sandra), Dennis (Gail), Robert "Robbie" (Lorraine), Florence "Flo" Gwynne, Winifred "Winnie" Stroud (Glen), Alfrida Brown (Winston), Patty Olsen and Charlene McCulloch (Charlie). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Covid-19 restrictions will be in place with proof of vaccination, photo ID, the wearing of masks and limited seating.
In lieu of flowers or donations, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, the VON of Cape Breton, or the Sydney SPCA.
