He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bill, Annabelle Penny, Charlie and Florence "Toots" Nicholas; and his mother-in-law Brenda Jessome.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Nicholas (Jessome); his daughter Samantha; his granddaughter Maeve; his parents, Tommy Nicholas and Joan Nicholas (Penny); his siblings, Tommy Nicholas (Sharon) and Jennifer Strickland (Joey); his father-in-law Cameron Jessome; his siblings-in-law, Greg Jessome and Alaina Jessome; his nephew Cole; and his nieces, Nicole, Courtney, Kennedy and Aleah. He is also survived by his brothers and his many cousins and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a funeral mass and celebration of his life are planned for a later date under the care and direction of W. J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, Cancer Patient Care Fund or Hospice/Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton.
